Invisalign invisable Braces

Our Invisalign Experts use iTero 3D technology to help reveal your future straight smile...

Invisalign® offers an innovative alternative to traditional braces for straightening teeth which is suitable for teens and adults. The Invisalign® teeth straightening system involves wearing a series of clear plastic aligners that gently move the teeth into the desired position, straightening teeth and closing gaps. One of the most appealing things about Invisalign® is that the removable aligners are virtually invisible and you’d be surprised how few people realise you’re even wearing them and this is definitely a selling point when it comes to self-conscious teens!

Invisalign® Treatment Plan

After every fitting, the custom-made aligners slowly move teeth through a series of carefully planned movements. Unlike traditional braces, the Invisalign treatment not only controls the amount of movement that each aligner produces, but also the timing of this movement. At any given stage, only specific teeth will move and all these movements are skilfully engineered according to your personalise Invisalign treatment plan.

The scanner produces a digital 3D impression of your teeth and gums in a matter of minutes, which means that no more uncomfortable bite impressions are required and we get more accurate predictive results, fast!

Invisalign® Before & After

My bite was wonky and I had a few teeth that had started twisting & sliding behind each other. Now that I have finished my treatment my teeth are straight & strong, and my bite has improved dramatically.

FAQ’s

How long does it take to straighten your teeth?

As with any teeth straightening procedure, the time taken depends on the complexity of the case, but as a rule of thumb the treatment time is generally comparable to that of traditional braces. Although in some straight forward cases we can see the desired results in as little as 6 months.

Are the Invisalign® braces painful to wear?

Generally, patients find the Invisalign clear aligners much more comfortable than traditional metal braces because the aligners are trimmed exactly to your gum line to ensure a snug fit. Some people may experience slight unfamiliar pressure for a few days when they put in a new aligner, but this is totally normal and just means that the process is working. We find that this mild discomfort usually goes away in a couple of days.

Can you eat and drink normally after having Invisalign fitted?

Of course, that’s the beauty of Invisalign®. The aligners are made to be easily removed so that you can eat and drink whatever you like and also to facilitate your regular brushing and flossing routine. Furthermore, if you or your teen has an active lifestyle, rest assured the aligners can be removed before playing any contact sport.
